Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy Temple, Pazhaya Seevaram, Kancheepuram

  Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, Pazhaya Seevaram.           This temple is situated on the Chengalpattu to Kancheepuram highway five kilometres before Walajabad. It is situated on a small hill  with picturesque surroundings at the junction of three rivers Palar, Cheyyar and Vegavathi. There is a small motorable road to the hill. The hill is called Padmagiri hill        The Moolavar here is Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy holding Lakshmi on his lap in santha swarupam.  Thayar here is called Ahobilavalli.  The legend of the temple says that Athri Rishi got darshan of Lord Vishnu in the form of Lakshmi Narasimhar here. It is also said that the Moolavar in Kanchi Varadaraja Perumal Temple was originally here in the hill top Mandapam and was taken to Kancheepuram and installed.
