      Bhakthavachala Perumal Temple, Thirunindravur


        This 58th Divya Desam Perumal Temple is situated at a distance of 40 km from Madras at Thirunindravur on the Arakonam suburban route. The presiding deity here is Bhakthavachala Perumal along with his consorts Sridevi and Bhoodevi. The moolavar is around 10 feet tall in standing posture. The name of the deity has an interesting legend around it as per the Bhattacharya of the Temple. Once Thirumangai Alwar visited this temple and the lord by oversight did not see him. This was noticed by Devi who requested the Lord to go and see him. By that time Thirumangai Alwar had reached nearby temple of Nithayakalyana Perumal at Tiruvidanthai. Lord pacifies his devotee who sang a Pasuram on the Temple. Since the lord himself went and loved his devotee he is named Bhaktha Vatchala ( lover of his devotee).


        The temple is said to have its origin from Pallava era and further renovated by Chola and Vijaynagar Kingdoms. The five tier Rajagopuram is of recent origin constructed over the old  basement of Vijayanagar era during the years 1960-62 and Samprokshanam done  during Chief Ministership of Shri Bhaktha Vatchalam.


        The Thayar here is called Ennai Petra Thayar ( என்னை பெற்ற தாயார்) having a separate Sannidhi. There are separate shrines for Manavala Mamuni, Andal Ramanujar, Sakkrathazwar on the circumbulatory path. The Temple follows Thengalai Sampradayam.

       This temple on New Pusa Road, Karol Bagh, Delhi is a temple dedicated to Lakshmi Nrisimha and belongs to Ahobila Mutt.  The Lakshmi Nrisimha Sabha was established in Delhi in 1970 at Defence Colony and registered in 1975. A plot of land was acquired in 1982 on New Pusa road and the main sanctum was constructed sometime later.      Thirukachi Nambi Varadaraja Perumal Temple,  Poonamalle.       This temple is situated at Poonamalle 23 kms away from  Madras and is more than a 1000 year old temple and believed to have been built during the period of  Paranthaka Chola in 10th century.  Thirukachi Nambi was a great Acharya of Vaishnavite tradition  and was the  Guru of Ramanuja. He was born  in 1009 AD at Poonamalle  to Viraraghava  and Kamalamba in an orthodox  Vaishya family. He was named  Gajendra  Dasar and from  his  childhood  he was an ardent  devotee of Varadaraja  Perumal at Kanchipuram. Kandy Kathirkamam Temple

    This temple called Kandy  Kathirkamam  Temple  is situated in the UNESCO   heritage city of Kandy. The moolavar in the  form of Balamurugan  is always kept  behind  a screen of Murugan on peacock and it is open only once in a year  on Vaikasi  Visakham  day. The  temple has a beautiful elephant  and is visited by both  Tamil Hindus and Sinhala  Buddhists. There is a shrine for  Buddha at the  back of  the  Murugan  shrine and is worshipped by all.
